About CNM Tech Consulting

Who we are:

CNM Tech Consulting is run by Caleb McCarthy, a technology consultant based in Huntington, West Virginia. We help local service businesses with websites, IT setup, and basic digital marketing. Things that should work reliably but often don't.

Background:

I've worked in construction sales and service business offices for years, which taught me how local service businesses actually operate and where technology tends to fail them. I also have experience managing IT systems as in-house staff for small businesses.

I got started with systems management in 2016 when I created and hosted a video game mod community. I managed development of our forums and servers for five years, (which is more relevant than it sounds. Systems thinking, uptime management, and user support translate directly to business IT).

Most businesses don't need enterprise-grade complexity. They need someone who answers the phone, shows up, and fixes things without creating new problems.

Why CNM Tech Consulting exists:

Too many local businesses get stuck with websites that don't work, tech that's pieced together over time, or agencies that charge too much and deliver too little. My independent practice exists to provide straightforward, affordable technology support without the corporate overhead.

What we don't do:

We don't promise overnight success or guarantee specific results. We don't lock you into long-term contracts unless you want ongoing support. We don't upsell you on things you don't need.

What we do:

We show up, we do the work, and explain things clearly. That's it.
